Comfort

Because the AIM system in the summer position faces the sun directly during the hottest hours of the day, it creates shade inside your house when it is most needed. This ensures a more comfortable indoor climate and can mean large energy savings on air conditioning and cooling. In the winter position the system is moved towards the wall, allowing more sunlight inside for passive heating, natural lighting and general wellbeing.

More panels

The Aim Solar system allows you to install solar panels above windows and sliding doors on building facades. These installations can be an addition to traditional rooftop solar panel installation, which in case of apartment buildings in particular, offer insufficient area to supply all residents with renewable power. The system can be used by itself or in addition to traditional rooftop mounted solar systems.

Higher output

As the panel’s inclination can be adjusted between summer and winter, electricity production is significantly higher than with fixed panels. The gains can vary with local circumstances but are in the range of 20% in the darkest months of the year, right when that electricity is most valuable.

Durable

Unlike a normal sun awning, the AIM Solar mounting system is exposed to the elements year round. The Aim Solar system’s patented design supports onto itself in both positions, making the construction sturdy enough to withstand winds up to 10 Bft.The AIM Solar mounting systems are made from extremely corrosion resistant, and joined using marine grade stainless steel hardware. The solar panels themselves usually are covered by warranties of at least 15 years. 

Sustainable

The AIM Solar mounting system is made of aluminium, which is 100% recyclable without any degradation of its properties and requiring only 5% of the energy needed to produce virgin material from ore. Of all aluminium produced, 75% is still in use. So, in addition to generating clean electricity, saving energy by limiting cooling needs during the summer, our product also has a minimal environmental footprint.
